Avril Lavigne Admits 'I Don't Want To Grow Up'

It's hard to imagine, but 11 years ago this week, a 17-year-old Canadian punk pop star skated into our lives with her inescapable hit"Complicated."
Fast forward to 2013 and Avril Lavigne is still sporting her signature tank top and tie in the video for her latest single, "Here's to Never Growing Up,"reminding fans that it's OK to be forever youthful.
"It's pop rock, up-tempo. It's a fun song," Lavigne told MTV News. "It's about wanting to be young forever. Doesn't matter what age you are; it's all about your spirit, state of mind. And I know I certainly don't want to grow up, so there are more songs on the record like this."
Despite rebelling against the angsts of aging, Lavigne has done a considerable amount of growing up in her personal life. The 28-year-old is sporting a massive ring from her fiancĂ©, Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger, who not only helped co-write Lavigne's first single, but also has a duet on her upcoming effort as well.
